Pareawa Banks Avenue offers a number of extra curricular activities that pupils can volunteer to participate in. A number of these may vary year-to-year as some of these depend on staff commitments and interest. Below are some of the things your child can opt into. 

  • Kapa haka – caters for both junior and senior children
  • Choir – includes junior and senior children
  • Chess Club 
  • HEARTbeat Media 
  • Football Club
  • Guitar Club
  • Dance - incl: Line Dancing
  • Pāhake Digikids - senior children
  • Muringa Digikids - junior children
  • Scootering (bike track in the planning - watch this space!)
  • Shirley Districut Music Scheme - for those wishing to learn a musical instrument at a low fee.

  • Netball – Hagley Future Ferns (Years 3-6) 
  • Basketball – Cowles Stadium - Thursday afternoons
